De Primi Fine Art SA exhibits the works of thirty masters of photography worldwide, produced from the mid-twentieth century.
The exhibition follows a deliberately anthological, diverse, heterogeneous and gathering outline, like a vast symphony of shapes, lights and colors around the concept of counterpoint or polyphony: more voices conversing together. From the classical landscapes, almost abstract, of Mario Giacomelli, to the new iconographic inventions Daniele De Lonti; from the metaphysical forms suspended by Abbas Kiarostami, to the famous and dramatic portraits by Andres Serrano; from the light color of Franco Fontana, to faces carved by the fear and by the time of Shirin Neshat; from historical records of the Land Art of Gianfranco Gorgoni to the coloristic invention of Gerhard Richter; from the unmistakable pictures painted by Peter Beard, filled with invention and play, to the performances captured by Robin Rhode; passing again through popular authors like Bernd and Hilla Becher, James Turrell, Luigi Ghirri, Aldo Tagliaferro, Arnulf Rainer, Cindy Sherman, Hiroshi Sugimoto and others, in a vast concert of shapes and colors to witness the growing importance of photography and the rich and infinite polyphony of the world.
