De Primi Fine Art is glad to invite you to the presentation of the Italian artist Marcello Jori’s Giacimenti series.
In his paintings, the sharp quartz forms interact in a calm and whirling, a liturgical and orgiastic dance. The diamond glows settle in a bezel made of sky and stars. The hexagon shaped sapphires fly as elegant spaceships. The facets of the ruby reverberate the magic of an ancient purple. As a happy follower of a renewed cubism, Jori, the miner, draws a richly mental space, a geometrical hard and mineral locus, multiplying the glitz of solids, planes, angles, sharp segments, in clouds of a complex network. Its deposits are pure light, pure vision: a Pythagorean theory devoid of any organic sediment.
